Ayana McAdam, Barrister & Solicitor

Ayana joined our team in April 2023, and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2019.

Ayana has a general practise focussing on Civil Litigation, Family Law and Real Estate Law.  Ayana’s specialized focus is on Commercial leases and Condominium Law, Wills & Estates, and Insurance Law.

Ayana obtained her Bachelor of Laws from the University of London, and thereafter completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Legal Education at the Norman Manley Law School. During Law School, Ayana volunteered with Legal Aid, and Food for the Poor initiatives in her local community.

Ayana was called to the Bar in her home country of Jamaica in 2013, where she practiced for two years primarily in the area of Wills and Estate Administration.

Prior to attending law school, Ayana received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, from Saint Louis University, Madrid Campus and a Bachelor’s degree in Pure Chemistry from the University of the West Indies.

During Ayana’s time in Madrid, she was able to improve her Spanish, fall in love with travel, and had the opportunity to live, work and study with people from all over the world.

In addition to her Legal experience, Ayana has also worked in Education, the Pharmaceutical Industry and Social development.

In 2017 Ayana made Edmonton her home and has immersed herself in the community, as a City of Edmonton Volunteer, a member of her church’s Hospitality Committee, and an active volunteer of the Edmonton Community Legal Clinic.

When Ayana is not working hard for her clients, she enjoys creating exciting meals in the kitchen, walking her dog, camping, gardening and running through Edmonton’s beautiful river valley.
