Jessette is a Partner with Edmonton Law Office, engaged in several areas of law, including Wills and Estates, Guardianship and Trusteeship, Adoption, Real Estate, Business Law, Civil Litigation, and Family Law. Jessette chose to specialize in Wills and Estates because she is passionate about helping families with estate planning and administration.
Prior to joining Edmonton Law Office, Jessette also worked in the Contracts Division at Abu Dhabi Gas Industries (GASCO) and later transitioned into the financial sector when her family immigrated to Canada.
Jessette is an enthusiastic member of the Filipino Canadian Lawyers Network, the Filipino Association of Legal Professionals, and many other associations. She is also an avid volunteer in various communities and organizations. In the past, she actively participated in legal aid clinics and volunteered at Legal Aid during local and national elections in the Philippines.
As the only Cum Laude graduate in her class at the Mindanao State University-IIT Law, Jessette has earned her Juris Doctor degree and Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Mindanao State University, Philippines. She graduated with academic distinction in both disciplines. She was also a consistent recipient of the Debater of the Year awards in both undergraduate and law school. While in law school, Jessette lectured at the College of Arts and Social Sciences at the same university.
Jessette is fluent in English, Tagalog and Visayan. Â She also has a good grasp of the French language.
Outside of work, Jessette enjoys spending time with her family of five, visiting parks, museums and going camping. Jessette also enjoys chess, running and reading.
